Do you ever wonder why it's okay for fans to wear team jerseys to sporting events but not artist t-shirts to concerts? You'll get crucified for wearing a Pearl Jam shirt to a Pearl Jam show, but you'll get crucified for not wearing red and blue to a Cubs game.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't, I guess.

I think it's because rock and roll is so much about fasion and cool now. It's not cool to be fannish in rock and roll, but in sports, it's all about picking sides and being a fan.
Chate - Good point. I'm sure you're right about that. I guess maybe that's why I sleep in the Nirvana t-shirt I bought in 8th grade but rarely leave the house without my favorite Cubs hat.
