My Life as a Grown Up

This is my desk.

It is responsible for my recent lack of blogging.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick explanation.

Please: no one un-link me from your pages or send me threatening e-mails or letter bombs... after September 12th, you can count on regular posts again. And I promise they'll be as dull and shallow as ever!

Until then, I can't really guarantee much.

I heard from a co-worker that Frema lived on Frappucino and Lionel Richie when she was working on her first issue of Contact. So far for me, it's been Diet Pepsi (the "Big Kahuna" size from Family Express), sweat pants, and the classic-rockin' sounds of 97.7 Classic Hits.

Pray for me. ;)

HA! You should see my desk, if you want to see messy. But I really don't have a good excuse for it being that way, like putting together a magazine basically by your lonesome.

I will pray for you but you are such a talent and I'm sure you will do a fabulous job! I will be eagerly anticipating my issue!

Luke, I have seen your desk. And in the war of who-has-the-messiest-desk, you win - hands down. But you do have an excuse... you're running an entire newspaper by your lonesome most of the time. Although I'm not exactly sure what the excuse is for the pumpkin and other little trinkets you keep on your desk... other than amusing me when I used to work there.

Jackie, you're so sweet! Thank you :) When you get your issue in the mail, be careful when you turn the pages... it's full of blood, sweat, and tears. Don't get any on you.

I've seen much MUCH worse! You can take comfort in that, but good luck gettin' it cleared away soon!

If you need any help, just let me know.

Hi Becky... just wanted to let you know I'm here... LOVE this shot of your "grown-up" desk. I guess sometimes a picture does say a thousand words even when you write for a living. -- Di :) (aka "the designer")
